The Agile and Lean communities love an acronym, but will settle for an initialism if they have to. For clarification, an acronym is when a word is formed from the initial letters of words in a phrase, and is then pronounced as a separate word (for example, BAFTA or WYSIWYG). An initialism is where each letter is pronounced separately (for example, PTO or HMRC). Either way, they are used in abundance by our friends and colleagues.
I have listed 12 acronyms/initialisms that are commonly used by agile and lean communities, especially in Scrum and Kanban. How many will you get right?
